Wong Wai Ying

Wai Ying has several years of experience in architectural practice and has undertaken various roles in planning, designing, leading, project directing, project managing, implementing and delivering projects across a diverse range, scale and typologies of projects. Her portfolio includes leisure & recreational buildings, parks developments with recreational facilities, institutional buildings, educational buildings, conservation and heritage buildings, museums and art & cultural buildings, office buildings, residential, mixed-use developments, industrial buildings, transportation buildings and healthcare facilities. Her involvements in various projects begin from conceptualizing, design inception, design development, technical coordination, tender documentation to contract administration, bringing the projects into realization. Many of her projects are recognized for its success through receipt of local and international awards.

Wai Ying is a Registered Architect with the Board of Architects, Singapore. She is also a registered ASEAN Architect and APEC Architect. She is also an Accredited Professional Project Manager, Green Mark Accredited Professional and Universal Design Assessor. She is a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects and sits on the Development Control Sub-Committee since 2011 and currently the Chairperson of the Sub-Committee. She serves as a Council Member of Singapore Institute of Architects 63rd Council (2023/2024) and 64th Council (2024/2025). She represents Singapore Institute of Architects in external committees, taskforce and investigation committees of regulatory bodies and institutes associated with professional bodies.

Wai Ying is also a member of the Association of Women in Construction, Singapore and Society of Project Managers, Singapore. She holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Building Design (Distinction) from University of Nottingham, UK and Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) from University of New South Wales, Australia.
